E-Verify is Gradually Becoming Mandatory: Are You Ready?

E-Verify is already mandatory for all employers in Arizona and Mississippi. In all probability, it will be mandatory for all employers in all other states too – the Trump Administration has made immigration enforcement, including worksite enforcement, a high priority! In fact, even right now it's mandatory for state agencies in Idaho, Minnesota, and North Carolina, whereas Colorado, Utah, Georgia, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Missouri, and Rhode Island require it for public contactors as well. The remaining states will have it sooner or later. The question is: Are you prepared? Or are you willing to take the risks that come with waking up at the eleventh hour?

Join expert speaker Patricia A. Bollman in this highly informative webinar where she will discuss the mechanics of how E-Verify works; what it requires of you as an employer, and the evaluation you should make before joining E-Verify. Bollman will review the steps that you should take, including Form I-9 compliance, to make certain that your company’s employment eligibility verification practices are in the best possible position to support E-Verify. She will also discuss the data collection that E-Verify conducts and how it can impact you.

After attending this webinar, you’ll have all the tools you need to become an E-Verify employer. You will know in detail what E-Verify is, and what it does – including the enhancements made to the program in the spring of 2018. You will also know the best practices that you should have in place before you join E-Verify, and your obligations after joining.
