Tips, Requirements and Options to Successfully Report Quality Measures to CMS

Physicians and other healthcare providers are subject to a Medicare payment reduction of up to 6% if they fail to participate in the Physician Quality Reporting System (PQRS): A 2% penalty comes from the PQRS program itself, and a second program, the Value-Based Modifier (VBM) program, uses quality data to determine whether your practice will receive a 2% to 4% cut or a potentially large increase in Medicare payments. Some practices earned a 32% increase in 2016 based on their quality data from 2014.

Join this session by expert speaker Jeanne J. Chamberlin to learn about the requirements and reporting options for successfully reporting quality measures to CMS. You’ll learn how your practice’s costs and quality are evaluated under PQRS and the VBM programs, and get various tips about how CMS’s quality programs work. Even if you haven’t been collecting quality data, there are still opportunities to successfully participate in PQRS for 2016 and avoid payment cuts in 2018.
